Eastern Memorial Hospital is a six-bed facility located in the beautiful ocean-side town of Canso, Nova Scotia. Located 115 kilometers from St. Martha’s Regional Hospital, Eastern Memorial Hospital is uniquely placed to serve the health care needs of the residents of local communities in the eastern portion of Guysborough County. The hospital was founded in 1948 and is presently adjacent to the Canso Seaside Manor, home for special care.

Directions to the Hospital:
From the Trans Canada Highway #104, take Exit 37 at Monastery. Turn left at the bottom of the ramp and then turn right at Route #16 which is at the firehall.
Continue driving along Route #16 for approximately one hour or about 87 km through Monastery, Lincolnville, Boylston, Guysborough, Halfway Cove, Queensport, Fox Island, and Hazel Hill until you find yourself on Main Street in Canso.
Turn right onto Union Street where the hospital is located on the right at #1746.
